5 Produsen Mobil Lirik Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur - Di Indonesia, produsen mobil kadang ragu-ragu untuk berinvestasi, tetapi di Malaysia mereka sepertinya tidak ragu-ragu.

Setidaknya ada 5 produsen mobil yang akan merakit dan mengembangkan mobil di Malaysia, yang merupakan salah satu pasar mobil besar di Asia Tenggara.

Menteri Perdagangan Malaysia Mustapa Mohamed seperti dikutip AFP, Senin (4/10/2010) menuturkan pemerintahnya kini tengah mengevaluasi permintaan dari produsen mobil yang berasal dari benua Eropa dan Asia tersebut.

Persetujuan dari pemerintah Malaysia diyakini akan keluar pada akhir tahun, namun sayang dia tidak menyebutkan nama-nama 5 produsen mobil tersebut.

"Otomotif adalah industri yang penting. Saya ingin investasi yang lebih banyak lagi," ujarnya kepada wartawan sesuai peresmian Chevrolet Service Centre.

Dia pun berharap, Chevrolet bisa membuat mobilnya di Malaysia. Saat ini mobil-mobil Chevrolet yang masuk ke Malaysia diimpor dari Thailand.
